Hampshire has today been issued with a snow warning.

Weather experts say we should be prepared for the white stuff possibly tomorrow.

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning saying the county could be showered with snow, sleet and hail tomorrow.

They have also warned that 75 mile per hour gusts of wind and torrential downpours will hit the county on Wednesday because of low pressure from the Atlantic.

The Met Office, say that a cold westerly airstream will spread across the area on Tuesday evening, which could lead to snow falling in parts of the county.

It could to leave the ground covered in three to six centimetres (one to two inches) of snow and drivers in Hampshire have been warned to be aware of icy patches that will form on untreated surfaces.

Meanwhile Weather experts have warned that gale force winds will disrupt' transport and could hit power supplies in the county on Wednesday, and heavy rain may cause localised flooding tomorrow and Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Met Office, said: “Snow could hit parts of Hampshire, but there won't be very much and it would not be very deep and it will be very short lived.”

“We are more concerned about wind, which is likely to hit Southampton at 75mph.”
