A CONTROVERSIAL housing scheme in Swanmore has been rejected after neighbours warned that it would shrink the gap between nearby villages.
Winchester City Council threw out plans to build six houses on a meadow on the village’s boundary.
Winchester City Council received 11 objections from residents and parish chiefs who said that it would “change the ambiance” of the village and bring it closer to Bishop’s Waltham.
