HAMPSHIRE’S dancing star has landed his dream job – and it is all thanks to a tweet.
Kai Widdrington couldn’t believe his luck when he checked his phone and found one of his dancing icons, Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole, had offered him a job.
Brendan was so impressed when he saw the 19-year-old former Britain’s Got Talent finalist dancing on television with his dance group Kings and Queens, he knew he wanted him on his nationwide tour.
Now Kai is just 24 hours away from the first night of the 48-date theatre show, A Night to Remember.
The former Barton Peveril College student said: “It is pretty cool and it probably the biggest thing I have
ever done.
“It is really exciting that we are so close to our first show.”
The new tour begins tomorrow night and follows on from Brendan’s last sell-out tour, Licence to Thrill. It promises to dazzle audiences with a spectacular night of dance.
The show comes to Portsmouth Guildhall on February 11 and The Anvil, Basingstoke on February 22.
