A CHARITY concert in aid of a Stockbridge man who lost all his limbs through a life-threatening infection is being staged in the town this spring.
Romsey Male Voice Choir is behind the fundraiser at Test Valley School on March 28 for Alex Lewis. All cash raised will go to the Alex Lewis Fund – set up to help his rehabilitation and recovery from the devastating effects of the illness which nearly claimed the 34-year-old’s life in 2013.
Alex, who lives with his partner Lucy Townsend, was hit by A streptococcus bacteria.
It is normally harmless but it developed into septicaemia and toxic shock syndrome and doctors had to amputate all his limbs to save his life.
Tickets cost £10 per adult and £7 for the under 18s.
They are available from Robinson’s Butchery, the Garden Inn and Wine Utopia and the Coop Store in Stockbridge High Street.
