A LORRY driver has today been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the death of a car passenger in Hampshire on Saturday.
Piotr Janowski, 48, from Poland has also been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He was due to appear at Basingtoke Magistrates' Court today.
Janowski is alleged to have caused the fatal collision on the northbound A34 near Bullington Cross at 5.45pm.
His HGV was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira near the Tufton crossroads.
The front seat passenger of the Zafira, Simon Shore, 53, from Highworth in Swindon, Wiltshire,died at the scene.
The driver, a 40-year-old man, and two rear seat passengers (a 13-year-old girl and 38-year-old man) sustained minor injuries.
