A HAMPSHIRE businesswoman has become the first person to secure funding on the new series of BBC entrepreneur programme.
Ally Stevenson's Clean Heels, which makes an accessory that protects heels from sinking into soft ground or ruining wooden floors, won funding from both Deborah Meaden and Kelly Hoppen in hit series Dragons' Den.
The programme last night saw Ms Stevenson, from Stubbington, pitch her business plan successfully to the four dragons - multi-millionaires looking to invest their money in new ventures.
Ms Hoppen and Ms Meaden agreed to put forward a £50,000 investment in exchange for a 12.5 per cent stake in the company.
The patented heel stopper is a circular disk, which spreads the wearer's body weight over a larger surface area and is designed to protect heels from wear and tear.
The heel stoppers are already available in a number of high street and bridal shops.
