A WOMAN was the victim of a serious sexual assault as she walked through a Hampshire park.
Detectives have launched an appeal for information after the woman, aged in her early 20s, was walking through Holbury Manor Park, Holbury, when she was approached by a man and attacked.
The incident happened on Friday (January 23) at 11.30pm but details have only just been released by police.
Det sgt Gemma Hunter said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area between 10pm and midnight on January 23 to come forward and speak to us.
“Did you see a lone woman in the area? Did you see a man walking in or around the park?
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who might have seen or heard anything suspicious in Holbury Manor Park, Park Lane or Lime Kiln Lane between 10pm and midnight that evening.”
