RAIL journeys across Hampshire were disrupted this afternoon after a passenger was taken ill on a southbound train.
The 2.05pm Waterloo to Weymouth service was delayed for 30 minutes from around 3.10pm while an ambulance was called to Platform 2 at Winchester Railway Station.
A South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance spokesperson said: “Our first priority is always the safety of our passengers and an ambulance was called.
“The passenger was taken off the train around 3.30pm. A very small number of other services were affected but no residual delays are expected.”
