AN arson investigation has been launched after a house blaze in Southampton.
Police are investigating after a fire was started in a vacant property in Porlock Road, Millbrook, between 11.30pm on Tuesday, and 12.30am yesterday.
It caused considerable damage to the inside of the mid-terrace property.
Det con Miles Wilson, from Western CID, said: "Did you witness anything suspicious in the area of Porlock Road at the time of this incident? If so please let us know.
"This reckless behaviour could have had serious consequences had a neighbour not spotted the smoke."
