A BUSINESS is expanding and could bring dozens of new jobs to Hampshire.

Hyphose has mobile offices across the south coast and hopes to create a central hub for business in the county later this year.

The company has revealed plans to move and expand at a new development site in Ringwood.

If the branch is successful it could create at least 12 jobs for people in Hampshire.

The business has been running for 35 years supplying high pressure hoses and marine products from Poole.

There are already mobile vans supplying goods in Southampton and Portsmouth under the name Hosedoctor and since sales have gone up in the area bosses thought making a permanent move would be successful.

Managing director Steve Grinter said: “Opening another location is a great success for the business and will allow us to build on the growth and customer focus that we have already achieved.

“We firmly believe in the importance of evolving and adapting to meet market demands, while at the same time acting responsibly towards the environment.”

The move also includes taking trade operations to a new site in Poole and the new Ringwood site will include a warehouse and head office where customers can come to place orders.

A spokesman for Hyphose said the company hopes to move into the new premises in Pintail Business Park by October this year, starting with a small team, with plans to expand once business increases.

Steve Grinter added: “This focus is very much in line with the aim of the business to be both customer and environment driven.”

The Hyphose product range covers industrial, hydraulic and pneumatic hose products.
