JAILING a Totton man for six months a judge told him: “Supplying cannabis involves a trade that undermines society and wrecks lives.”
Judge Peter Crabtree heard how police had executed a warrant at the home of Christopher Harris and discovered cannabis in a carrier bag, the kitchen and in his bedroom.
Southampton Crown Court was told they also seized more than £2,000 in cash that had largely come from drug sales as well as three counterfeit £20 notes.
Harris, 22, of Clydesdale Way, admitted possession with intent to supply, possessing criminal property and possessing the dud currency.
He was jailed for six months.
James Newton-Price, defending, said Harris began smoking cannabis at 15 or 16 and supplied friends and acquaintances.
“He got himself into a situation that escalated and might have got worse and he felt a sense of relief when he was arrested because it brought matters to a head.”
