THE owner of a home in Southampton interrupted burglars who were ransacking their home.
The would-be thieves broke into the address on Burgess Road between 12.30 and 1.20pm on Monday.
They forced entry into a bedroom to search it, and then attempted to break into another bedroom was occupied.
The person living at the home shouted out and the thieves left empty-handed.
Investigating officer PC Mathew Card said: “As always, I would urge members of the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us.”
He urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious on Monday lunchtime to contact the police on 101.
