COUNCILLORS have agreed to consider changes to a vision for future development at a hospital site.
Members of Eastleigh Borough Council’s Hedge End, West End and Botley Local Area Committee noted suggestions that arose from public consultation on the Moorgreen Hospital.
The council has come up with what it deems would be acceptable development on the West End site, which would involve moving health services to a different part of the site and replacing them with up to 230 homes.
The idea is this guidance would act in place of the Eastleigh Local Plan.
Among comments, residents had raised concern about vehicle access to the site from Monarch Way, but also suggested moving the West End GP surgery and creating a horticultural facility.
Councillors have agreed these suggestions will now be considered when the council’s Cabinet makes a final decision.
