A CHILD was airlifted to hospital this afternoon after he was involved in an accident with a bus.
The youngster was in collision with the bus at the entrance to Hamble school at Satchell Lane in Hamble just after 3pm today.
Police officers closed Satchell Lane while emergency services worked to free the boy from underneath the bus.
The teenager was airlifted to Salisbury District Hospital for further treatment for what was described as serious injuries.
A police spokesman confirmed that Satchell Lane was likely to remain closed for several hours.
