A POPULAR Hampshire schoolgirl has been urged to come home by her friends from her dance crew.

Worried friends at Integr8 Dance company, where Isobel Attwood has been a regular member for two years, have appealed for her to get in touch with her family who are desperate to know she is safe.

The 16-year-old Henry Beaufort pupil disappeared after she was last seen Kings Worthy home on Saturday afternoon, sparking a police investigation to find her.

Charlie Sapey, who runs Integr8 Dance, which is based in Winchester, described Isobel as a fun-loving teenager, who really enjoyed her dancing and is a vital part of their team.

Isobel is part of the Classique crew at the company, which specialises in commercial dance. She joined after her brother started to attend the dance company and this time last year was away competing with her crew.

Charlie said: “She worked really hard in class and she was a really key member of the group.

“She has lots of friends here and we all just want her to come home.

“We know her dad and step-mum will be worried about her and will want her back with them.

“Please come home Izzy, you are not in trouble, we just want to know you are safe.”

She added that they had not seen Isobel for about two months, as she had decided to take a break from dancing for a bit, but when she did attend, she would train around twice a week.

As previously reported, friends online have speculated that Isobel may be in Southampton and since leaving her home in Springvale Road, she has posted a message online apologising for the trouble her disappearance has caused and insisting she is safe.

But officers are still urging Isobel to get in touch or return home, and appealing for anyone who may have heard from her or seen her to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure her safety.

Several hours after officers issued their appeal yesterday, her friends took to the Hampshire Constabulary Facebook page, claiming that she had been in touch and that she was in the Southampton area.

While others posted screen grabs of Isobel's earlier message which read: “Anyone who's had the police round theirs I'm sorry. I need to just get away for a while. I'm safe and feel bad for all this.”

Isobel, is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, of small build, with long brown hair with extensions.

PC Ross Edwards said: “We're becoming concerned for Isobel's welfare.

“We believe she could still be in the Southampton area but she has also previously travelled to Winchester.

“Isobel, if you're reading this, you're not in trouble. Please come home or make contact with us or your family.

“We've following up several lines of enquiries since Isobel went missing and believe she has been seen since but we've been unable to trace her so far.

“If anyone has spotted Isobel or a girl matching her description or if anyone knows where she is, please get in touch.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Edwards at Winchester police station on 101.
