Hundreds of bikers have set off though the streets of Southampton today in memory of a popular City teenager.
Family and friends of Nick Brisland solemnly set off in a huge convoy from Heathfield Road, Sholing, to his funeral in Wessex Vale Crematorium.
Nick, 19, who was a keen rider and scout, died when his motorcycle was in collision with a car and taxi in Spring Road on the evening of April 24, despite the desperate attempts of neighbours and paramedics to save him.
Bikers arrived for today's ride out wearing his favourite colour orange and decorating their motorcycles with ribbons and teddy bears.
They set off in the slow convoy at 9.20am making their way to the service at 10am.
More than £5,000 was raised to help fund the cost of the funeral while bikers in Hampshire held a giant ride out from McDonald’s in Hedge End, where Nick worked as a trainee manager, to Portsdown Hill.
