Botley Road near North Baddesley and Romsey closed after cyclist accident

A ROAD into a Hampshire village was shut last night after an accident involving a cyclist.

A 50 yard section of Botley Road was closed between the roundabout near The Luzborough pub toward the outskirts of North Baddesley.

Daily Echo:

The incident happened about 8.20pm last night when the cyclist collided with a black Vauxhall Zafira.

Hampshire Police confirmed a man was taken to Southampton General Hospital by road ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

No arrests were made and the scene was cleared by midnight.

 The ambulance service sent one rapid response vehicle and one ambulance crew.
