HE is usually the one doing the treatment.
But you can forgive Southampton-based physiotherapist Benn Digwood for being in the treatment room after he took part in a gruelling 112 endurance charity bike ride.
Benn who works as Head Physiotherapist at Southampton Solent University tackled the ride in the Lake District to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The determined cyclist was inspired to do the The Fred Whitton Cycle Challenge after his friend Lizzy Young had suffered from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Benn, said: “Without the support of this charity into making this a treatable disease I would have lost a truly great friend. Seeing what she went through and overcame inspired me to take part in the challenge. Sitting on a bike seems to pail into insignificance really.”
So far Benn has raised £790 from the bike ride, but he hopes to raise even more to help them in their work.
