A CHUNK of Hampshire farmland has gone on the market with an asking price of £3.4 million.

BCM, based at Sutton Scotney, is marketing 283 acres of arable land between Winchester and Alresford in the upper reaches of the Itchen Valley.

The Grade 3 land has been used in recent years for growing conventional arable crops and has been entered into both Entry and Higher Level Stewardship.

The land is well-located being only six miles to Winchester and four to Alresford.

The land is outside of the South Downs National Park and is primarily south facing with extensive views.

Alastair Wilson of BCM said: “It is rare for a block of land of this size and in this location to come to the market. This provides a good opportunity for farmers wishing to expand or for investors looking for a solid investment.”

The land is offered as a whole or in two lots.
