A MAN was treated for smoke inhalation when firefighters were called out to tackle a bin on fire in a house.
The bin was in the kitchen but by the time the two crews from St Mary's and one from Hightown arrived a the terraced house in Garton Road, Woolston, the bin had been brought out by a neighbour.
This neighbour had led the occupant, a man, out of the property and the owner was then treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by fire and ambulance crews but did not need to go to hospital.
There was only smoke logging in the property in the incident which happened about midnight last night.
