MOTORISTS faced severe delays after a crash in a Southampton street.
An accident at the junction of Thomas Lewis Way and St Denys Road closed the latter eastbound.
Bus services also warned passengers to expect lengthy delays and will be using diversions.
In a statement, First Hampshire said: “Due to an accident at Thomas Lewis Way junction with St Denys Road, our service 7's are turning around at Portswood Mitre, going through Bevois Valley - Jury's Inn, onto Northam Bridge, Bullar Road and resuming normal route at Bitterne Triangle in both directions. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
But the accident was cleared shortly after 4pm and traffic has returned to normal.
