A POSTMAN doing his rounds in a Hampshire town was assaulted by a man wearing slippers and a dressing gown.
The incident which happened in Maple Close, Fareham saw the postman approached by the attacker who asked for a letter which was being delivered to a nearby house.
When the postman refused he was pushed over and the letter was taken and the attacker left in a Vauxhall Astra.
Hampshire Police say the postman wasn’t hurt in the incident which happened on Wednesday at 11am, and they described the attacker as black, 6ft tall and wearing slippers and a dressing gown.
They are urging anyone who saw the incident, or who has private CCTV, to come forward and help them with their enquiries.
