IT is one of Hampshire's wettest spectacles.
Hundreds of spectators watched teams get a soaking in the sunshine at the Great Waterside Raft Race at Hythe Marina.
Crowds flocked to for the eagerly awaited event where 16 teams tackled a square shaped course between Hythe Marina and the pier in variety of wacky homemade crafts.
The event which raises funds for the RNLI, was organised by the Hythe and Calshot branch who expect it to raise more than £6000.
Organiser and chair of the Hythe and Calshot fundraising branch Terry Ashmore, said:"Everyone has been getting into the spirit of the event and throwing water balloons and using water pistols.
"The marina is filled from one end to the other which means there must be at least a thousand people here which makes it a great day out."
