POP star Gary Barlow helped make a Hampshire couple’s wedding extra special.

The Take That singer surprised Natalie Purkis and husband Martin at their reception and serenaded the blushing bride with a rendition of hit song Rule the World.

It was part of a pledge he made at the start of the year to sing at the weddings of three of his fans – although he has gone on to sing at more.

And the singer said this ‘completes’ his surprise wedding appearances for the year, tweeting: “Well that completes my wedding appearances for 2015! Thank you to everyone who invited me to their special day!

“I'll look back fondly at 2015 as the year of the wedding crasher!"

Mr Rowant had contacted Gary via social media to ask him to come to the wedding and his wife was delighted with the surprise.

She tweeted: “I cannot thank @GaryBarlow enough for finishing off mine and @mjpurkis wedding day perfectly. No words can ever be enough to thank you x".

The happy couple are from Andover and were celebrating their nuptials at the Lambert Arms Hotel in a village in Oxfordshire.
