Bell Street in Romsey
A WELL-KNOWN Romsey business has closed temporarily.
Jeweller FW Kersey and Son in the Hundred first opened in Bell Street in 1888 and the business moved to the current premises in 1912.
Owner Simon Kersey said: "The premises are in need of some renovation, so we are downsizing and hoping to open a jewellers elsewhere in the town."
He added that it is not known yet where the new site will be. Kersey's china shop, next to the jewellery business, has also shut.
