A MULTI-VEHICLE crash caused long delays on motorway this morning.
The incident happened at junction eight for Hamble and Bursledon of the westbound M27 at 9.20am.
Two lanes of the motorway heading westbound were closed.
Congestion built up past junction nine at Whiteley, with delays of up to 35 minutes being reported.
Police and fire crews were on the scene. There is no word yet as to whether or not anyone has been injured.

The road was fully cleared by 10.50am although there were still residual delays in the area.
