DETECTIVES investigating a £15,000 vandal attack on a Hampshire special school have released images of a graffiti tag left at the scene.
Forensic work has been carried out at the scene of the attack at St Francis School in Fareham, where 19 windows and glass panels were smashed.
A garage on the school grounds was broken into between 8pm and 9pm on Sunday, November 8, and graffiti was then sprayed on school buildings, roof tiles were ripped off, and windows were smashed.
Chief Inspector Sharon Woolrich said: "Officers are waiting for the results of forensic tests and are following other lines of enquiry.
"It's thought the incident may be linked to a similar break-in to an outbuilding on the school grounds on Tuesday, October 27.
"Our neighbourhood teams are also patrolling the area and speaking to local residents to ask if they have seen anything suspicious.
"We take reports of vandalism like this very seriously because it can be distressing for the pupils, their parents, and the wider community."
