A week after the attacks in Paris more than 200 people gathered at the Peace Fountain in Southampton's East Park to show a sign of respect to those who lost their lives in the tragedy.
The crowd were addressed by Mayor of Southampton Cllr Linda Norris, who invited members of the Muslim, Catholic and Sikh communities to say a few words.
Southampton Test MP Alan Whitehead said: "This is a time to show that Southampton stands united with our friends across the water.
"We have a strong relationship with France in this city and we need to show them that they have our support."
