POLICE say a missing teenager may have been spotted in a Hampshire shopping centre - and want the public's help to find her.

They have released a fresh appeal for information in the hunt to find Charlotte Piper, who has been missing for more than four days.

Officers said there was a possible sighting of the 17-year-old from Chandler's Ford at WestQuay Shopping Centre on Wednesday.

Police are now trawling through CCTV footage and will later issue an image from the footage today.

As reported in the Daily Echo, Charlotte went missing for five days at this time last year, however police refuse to say whether that has any significance in their current investigation.

Chief Inspector Dave Winter said: "The CCTV image we have is a possible sighting of her in West Quay.

"We are keeping an open mind at this stage as to whether this is Charlotte or not and urge anyone who thinks they may have seen her to come forward.

"I would also directly appeal to Charlotte to get in touch. You are not in trouble, people are worried about you and we just need to know you are safe."

In addition to the CCTV footage, police officers are also handing out leaflets in Eastleigh and Southampton and are also working with officers in Middlesex as Charlotte has links to that area.
