ONE of the main roads through the New Forest has been blocked by a fallen tree.
Long queues tailbacks started building up in the Ashurst area after the tree came crashing down just before 10.20am, closing the A35 in both directions.
It happened near a bridge that carries the road over the London to Weymouth railway line.
Highway engineers are in the process of sawing up the tree and removing all the debris.
