PICTURES: Woolston School through the years
SOUTHAMPTON'S Woolston School will soon be just a memory, with dozens of new homes set to be built on the site.
The school in Portchester Road closed in 2008 and since then has been used as an annex by the Oasis Academy Mayfield.
Woolston School had merged with Grove Park Business and Enterprise College to become Oasis Academy Mayfield.
The city council already has planning permission to knock it down and replace the school with 40 homes and it was agreed recently to market it to housing developers for sale.
To mark the end of the road for the school we have put together a gallery of hundreds of pictures of the school over the years for former staff and students to remember what it was once like.
