A NEW poll has revealed the fittest and laziest cities in the UK.
And while Oxford has been named the country's fittest, Southampton is languishing near the bottom and has been ranked as the country's second-laziest city.
The poll, put together by supplement brand of Adapt Nutrition , ranked cities by the number of people claiming to visit the gym weekly or more often.
Seventy four per cent of Oxford residents claimed to make at least one visit to the gym a week, followed by Manchester (65 per cent) and Liverpool (63 per cent).
At the bottom was Newcastle, where just 20 per cent said they visited the gym every week, followed by Southampton (23 per cent), Sheffield (28 per cent) and Glasgow (31 per cent).
The survey saw 2,000 adults polled.
