A FUNDRAISING team jumped to it when they smashed their charity target by taking part in a bounce-athon.
As reported by the Daily Echo Maria Hernandez Smith staged the event in Cadnam to raise money for cancer research after learning a friend had been diagnosed with the disease.
The fitness instructor from Totton who runs classes using mini-trampolines decided to organise a mass sponsored bounce-athon where friends, family and class members of all ages joined in.
Together they smashed their initial target of a few hundred pounds and now the total stands at more than £1,600.
Maria said: "We did it! Thank you to everyone who joined us and also came along and supported us by donating.
"What started out a plan to raise a few hundred pounds has taken off and we have smashed £1500 with a hope to reach the £2,000. It’s been a great team effort and I can’t thank everyone enough for everything."
