A MAN has been charged following a crash which killed a teenage girl.
Alexander McBride, from Hordle has been charged with with causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the prescribed limit.
The 34-year-old, of Sky End Lane in the village, remains in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court tomorrow.
It comes after a crash on Tuesday night in which a 15-year-old girl from Surrey was killed.
Two further girls, aged eight and 10, were taken to Southampton General Hospital, but were later discharged.
Hampshire police investigators closed Hordle Lane, where the accident happened, for nine hours as they tried to established what led to the Mercedes E350 Sport Convertible leaving the road and hitting a tree.
No other vehicle is thought to be involved.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8.45pm on Tuesday night.
