A MAN threatened to blow up a Southampton pub after his brother had been thrown out, a court was told.
City magistrates were told how trouble flared when landlord Michael Gallager had to eject a man who he previously had barred.
Prosecutor Jason Spelman said Ashley Singh approached Mr Gallager and told him he was the brother of the ejected man and said: “I am going to smash you.”
Mr Spelman said that Singh added: “I will blow your pub up.”
Singh, 25, of Mandela Way, Southampton, admitted being drunk and said of his remarks: “It was a stupid thing to say."
He pleaded guilty to threatening to cause damage to the Osborne pub on January 16 and was fined £440 with costs of £85 and a £44 victim surcharge fee.
He was also banned from the pub in Shirley Road for a year.
