A FORMER Saints star joined an England teammate to have a healthy breakfast at a seafront café.

Peter Hayward, owner of the Noisy Lobster at Avon Beach, near Christchurch, was delighted when Adam Lallana and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson popped in to have scrambled eggs and muffins.

Mr Hayward said: "The staff didn't recognise them at first.

"I knew who they were as Lallana has been into the restaurant before as he still has a house in the area near Ringwood.

"He used to play for Southampton before he moved to Liverpool."

Peter, who also has a second restaurant in Ringwood, added: "No one bothered them though.

"They were happy to pose for a picture.

"They obviously know that we do the best breakfast!"

Lallana began his youth career with Bournemouth before transferring to Southampton in 2000, where he developed in their academy and became a professional in 2006.

After a brief loan back to Bournemouth he broke into Southampton's first team becoming captain in 2012.

After two seasons in the top flight and an international breakthrough, he joined Liverpool for a reported £25 million in July 2014.

Since his senior international debut for England in 2013, Lallana has 19 caps, and represented them at the 2014 championship.

Both Lallana and Henderson are in the national squad and are preparing for friendlies against Germany and Holland ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.

England face Germany in Berlin on Saturday March 26 and Holland at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday March 29.

It will be the 20th meeting between the Three Lions and the Oranje with the last being at Wembley Stadium.
