EMERGENCY services were called to a Hampshire railway station after concern for a woman's welfare.
Police and ambulance rushed to Eastleigh station this morning and witnesses reported seeing a woman in tears.
A taxi driver at the scene said: "I saw a police car parked right in the middle of Bishopstoke bridge.
"When I drove past the train station I saw a woman crying and an ambulance there."
South Central Ambulance Service was called to the scene at 9.48am and sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the station.
The woman was then taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "We were called by a member of the public who was concerned for the welfare of woman who was on the railway bridge in Eastleigh at 9.39am.
"We attended and spoke to the woman.
"It turned out to be more of a medical issue and we referred her to paramedics who attended."
Traffic built on on Bishopstoke Road, Leigh Road and Twyford Road in Eastleigh as a result of the incident.
