THE elderly cyclist who died in a Hampshire road crash has been named by police.

Richard White, 70, died in hospital last week after the smash on the A338 at Fordingbridge.

Police are appealing for information to trace a vehicle which failed to, believed to be a white Ford Transit flatbed with registration BU53 FVM.

The crash occurred on the A338 Salisbury Road at 9.20am on April 28.

Mr White, from Downtown, near Salisbury, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital. He was being treated there but died of his injuries on Wednesday, May 18.
