The Isle of Wight Festival has not officially begun for the year, yet there has already been a host of musical performances.
The Thursday night set kicked off with the Dolls, a punk band playing a mix of classic punk anthems and their own original pieces.
Also on the festival's Big Top stage was Maxxi Jazz from Faithless who will be headlining the main stage tomorrow. Breaking away from the dance and trance music the group are known for, he was joined by the E-type boys for an enchanting rock and roll set.
The Thursday night headliners Staus Quo are set to wrap up events later this evening.
The weekend weather did not look good for revellers as torrential rain was predicted. A yellow weather warning was even issued for Hampshire and the south coast earlier this week.
Heavy fog was hanging over the Solent this morning, but the forecast has since improved and Thursday saw a gloriously sunny day to welcome guests.
So far there has been no need to break out the wellies.
