PARAMEDICS are assessing two people after a crash in Southampton this afternoon.

A Ford Focus and BMW collided between Sandringham Road and Dimond Road, Bitterne Park, at around 3.15pm.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Occupants of one vehicle got out and fled the scene. [There were] two patients in the second who are just being assessed.

“They’re not seriously injured – they just need to be assessed to see what injuries they have sustained.”

Fire engines from St Mary’s and Redbridge were called but not used.
