HUNDREDS are lining the streets to see the West End carnival parade through its town centre.
Young and old gather with whistles and flags in anticipation for the parade.
This years' West End Carnival has a 'Rio' theme to encompass both the famous Rio carnival and this year's Olympic Games.
The marching band proudly started the event, which marks the beginning of a week of fun for the village including the carnival quiz, the carnival walk, best garden and allotment competitions.
