FAMILIES enjoyed a Fathers’ Day to remember at a jam-packed activity day in Hampshire.

The HMS Sultan Summer Show 2016 in Gosport featured gigantic roaring monster trucks, a sheepdog display, and comedy antics from a troupe of clowns.

Visitors at the weekend-long event were even given tips and tricks from the professionals in circus skills workshops.

Captain Trevor Gulley, the Commanding Officer of HMS Sultan, said: “The HMS Sultan Summer Show is the largest community event held by the Establishment throughout the year.

"Over the weekend we have welcomed thousands of visitors to both the Show and our Children’s Party, for disabled and disserving children.

“The Show provides the people of Gosport with an excellent program of entertainment and activities.

"In addition thousands of pounds is raised for Service and local charities and good causes.”

“I am immensely proud of all of my personnel, both Service and civilian, who make the Show such a special event and very grateful to everyone who has come along to support us.”
