THE family of a Southampton man who has been missing for three days are appealing for help to find him.

Ovidijus Aukselis, 22, was last seen by his housemate at 6am on Friday at their home in Arnold Road.

Since then he has not been in contact with his family or friends who are extremely worried.

His sister, Indre Aukselyte, 25, said it was out of character for Ovidijus to be away from home.

She said: “My brother is a very homely person and this is really unlike something he would normally do.

“My mum is worried, the whole family is worried.”

Indre added that her brother had been sending messages to his ex-girlfriend via Skype on the morning of his disappearance.

She said that the couple were not arguing but that it might have been difficult for him to be speaking to her.

His sister explained that the police tracked Ovidijus’ phone to Portswood on Friday.

They were unable to detect his whereabouts any further after his phone battery went dead.

Indre believes her brother may be in the Portswood, Woodmill or Southampton Common areas of the city.

She said: “Someone must have seen my brother somewhere. If anyone thinks they might have seen him please let us know.”

Ovidijus is described as having mousey blonde hair, green/blue eyes and is about six-foot.

Inspector Helen Andrews said: “Have you seen a man matching this description since Friday? Do you know where he is? If so, please contact us immediately.

“Ovidijus, if you are reading this, please get in touch and let someone know you are okay. Your family are very worried about you.”
