CAN you help police track down stolen motorbikes after they were spotted in a Southampton park?

Officers are appealing for information after an incident in Green Park, Millbrook, between 6pm and 8pm last night.

Four motorcycles were seen being ridden at speed in the park after entering from Kendal Avenue.

The bikes were:

  • A Honda CBR, which was stolen from William Macleod Way overnight between September 16 and 17
  • A Lexomoto SMR which was stolen from Pennine Road on September 17

The two other vehicles were a white and blue scrambler and an orange and white KTM scrambler.

The first was being ridden by a white man wearing shorts and a grey hoodie with the hood covering his face, and the second was being driven by a person wearing a helmet.

PC Simon Peacock, said: “People riding motorbikes in an anti-social manner continue to cause problems across the city.

"The riders are generally unlicensed, uninsured and ride dangerously, putting people at risk.

"There were a number of people in the park yesterday evening and I would urge anyone with video footage or photographs of the bikes, to get in touch.

“As part of Operation Torque I am appealing for information from the community about the location of these motorbikes. They are being stored somewhere.

"If you have seen motorbikes entering garages, sheds or houses please pass that information to us so we can investigate and ascertain whether or not the bikes are stolen.

“We would also like information about the people using these vehicles.  If you've seen them riding these bikes and know who they are, please get in touch.

“I am aware of various groups of people who have gone out searching for these bikes and would urge them to contact me directly.

"It is possible that they may have information that could help the investigation and help us tackle these issues.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Peacock at Redbridge police station by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
