Police have issued a CCTV image in their hunt for a man who raided a Hampshire shop.

Officers are appealing for information following a burglary at Albert Food Store, Albert Road, Southsea.

The incident happened at some time between 3am and 4am on Wednesday, October 12.

The offender entered the stole and stole a large quantity of cigarettes and phone cards.

Police have a description of a man they’d like to speak to in connection with this incident.

He is aged in his 30s, around 5ft 6ins, and of medium build.

PC Ian Swan, said: “The offender has got away with hundreds of pounds worth of cigarettes and phone cards.

“I would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV, or anyone who has been offered cigarettes or phone cards for sale, which they think could have been stolen.

”I would urge anyone with information to contact us and speak to us in confidence.”
