A MANHUNT has been launched after a knifepoint robbery in Southampton.
A pedestrian was walkingalong the street when he was approached by a knife-wielding man who approached him and stole his wallet and mobile phone.
The incident happened near an alleyway between Imperial Road and Mount Pleasant Road at about 1.30am on Tuesday.
The robber is described as being black, in his mid to late 20s, five feet six inches tall, of a slim and toned build, and possibly had a goatee beard.
The 29-year-old victim did not suffer any injuries during the robbery.
Police Staff Investigator Joanne Moger from the Western Investigations Team said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was in the Imperial Road area around this time who witnessed this incident to contact us.
“Furthermore, if you recognise the description of this man, let us know to assist us with this investigation. Call 101 and quote 44160412298.”
