WE asked you to come forward to show off your talent - and in just one afternoon we found a wealth of it in Southampton.

Armed with a guitar and video camera, Daily Echo reporter Will Carson hit the streets as part of the paper's talent search.

Hot off the back of hit ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent the Daily Echo has launched its own talent search - Hampshire's Top Talent.

We are asking the great Hampshire public to come forward with their hidden talents, whether its singing, dancing, juggling or plate spinning.

If you have a talent, we want to know about it.

What we found in Southampton yesterday blew us away.

There were dozens of people clamouring to show us what they could do, looking for what could possibly be their big break.

Darryl Alexander was the first to step up with some awesome gravity-defying skating tricks.

The 18-year-old from Northolt Gardens in Lordshill set the bar for others to beat.

Next up was 18-year-old Chris Gray, of Grenville Gardens in Dibden, who treated us to a snippet of his three-page musical epic Time Travelling God.

Watch out Lenny Henry, because 86-year-old Larry Mason from Emsworth Road in Shirley proved that he still has some cracking jokes up his sleeve.

Marcus Connell, 37, of Thorold Road, Bitterne, showcased one of his self-penned poems, entitled Autumn, while 18-year-old Scott Ryves showed off his dancing feet with some mindboggling breakdancing moves.

Dave Coutinho, 20, from Ashton Close, Weston, blasted out a brilliant rendition of Ben E King's hit Stand By Me, and newly formed bandmates James Bennett and Tom Clark, both 16, strummed an acoustic version of Moldy Peaches' Who's Got The Cat.

All these people proved that they have a talent - but do you?

Go on, give it a go - you never know who might be watching!
