TODAY the Daily Echo continues its campaign to find homes for some of Hampshire most needy animals.

Thousands of animals in need of some vital love and care pass through the doors of Stubbington Ark every year.

Today the Daily Echo and the RSPCA who run The Ark join forces to continue our hunt to find some of them a home.

These three animals are just some of the hundreds of abandoned pets currently being cared for at The Ark and in need of new homes.

The Fareham-based Ark, is Britain's largest animal refuge and takes in unwanted pets from across the south.

However with no Government funding and costs running into thousands of pounds each day, the centre needs the help of Hampshire's residents to keep going - both financially and in terms of giving a needy pet a second chance at life. The Daily Echo will be regularly featuring just a few of the many cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and other animals who desperately need a new owner and friend.

This week the pets needing homes are dog Rupert and a polecat named Joanna.

To find out more about them, or to look into becoming an owner to one of their animals, contact the centre on 01329 667541 or visit www.stubbingtonark.org.uk
