WITH his comedy comb-over, perma-tan and political incorrectness, he’s a comic’s dream.

Now master impressionist Mike Osman is taking on his most famous character to date, President-elect Donald Trump.

“He’s heaven sent,” laughs the Southampton funnyman, who has returned to impressions just in time for Trump’s inauguration on Friday.

“Every day he says or does something which is just comedy gold dust.”

As a renowned impressionist, Mike Osman is no stranger to performing in a host of different roles.

He’s taken on Prince Charles, the Trotter brothers, Sir Bruce Forsyth and his great pal Chris Tarrant, as well as Saints fans favourites Lawrie McMenemy and his famous Channon and Ball.

But never a US President.

Now the Southampton entertainer and presenter has unleashed his version of Donald Trump on the world in a YouTube spoof.

Trump in Trouble comes to Southampton, which has been viewed more than 3,000 times in 24 hours and made its way into the hands of Nigel Farage, sees Osman’s Trump visit the UK ahead of his inauguration.

Things soon go wrong for Trump when he turns up at The Dorchester in Southampton rather than London’s Park Lane for a press conference.

The Freemantle in Paynes Road and Peppe’s salon in Park Road are among the locations featured in the film.

“The amazing thing has been the response from the public,” Mike adds.

"Love him or hate him, everyone wants a selfie with him. Ladies were running out of the hairdressers to meet him, one even had her picture taken with what looked like a colander on her head!”

Mike, who got his big break as an impressionist on TV’s Copycats in the 80s and hosted the Capital Gold breakfast show for six years, spends one and a half hours in make up to transform himself into Trump.

Not only does he sound like him, but with the blue contact lenses, special teeth, extra long tie, star-spangled banners and Trump’s mannerisms down to a tee, he looks like him too.

It’s a welcome return to impressions for the comedian.

“Three months ago I said to my wife, ‘I want to go back to doing impressions’,” said Mike. “I’ve become a bit of a host. I love doing the charity events but my career has always been about impressions, especially doing the impressions no-one else is doing.

“I want to be an impressionist again and I’m working on a whole load of voices. Trump has been right up there in the news along with the likes of Nigel Farage. It’s been great fun studying them.

“It’s not about being famous, it’s about making a living, supporting my family and having fun. It’s really got my excitement back for performing again.

“I just hope he doesn’t get shot, I could get four years work out of this!”

Further Trump in Trouble episodes will be released soon, combining the US President with voices including Boris Johnson, Michael McIntyre and Arsene Wenger.
