MR KEBBELL (Letters, February 6) wants to make an irrelevant political tirade against the Conservatives, so he chooses an entirely non-political issue - skateboarding.
Many citizens do not find walking or sitting and talking in Guildhall Square in the midst of skateboarding, especially in nice weather, a very pleasant experience.
Skateboarding can damage the surfaces, which cost a lot of public money to repair.

The suggestion that better provision should be made for skateboarding in the elsewhere in the city seemed perfectly sensible.
Incidentally, the Government is proposing to pass the business rates to the city.
